Learning XsitePro by Videos
Learning anything new can be scary and stressful but with XsitePro2 Videos it's a breeze. My suggestion to you
is that you watch all of them through one at a time, sit back and just watch.
Before you start building or thinking of building your website you will need to have the following ready to
go:
1) List of keywords you will be targeting
2) A domain name registered and hosted preferably containing one or more of your keywords and with your ftp
login details. Don't panic…XSP2 does all that for you
3) Enough articles/content related to your subject to actually make a couple of pages to begin with.
If you have these things ready to go you will find the learning process less stressful because you will only
have to concentrate on learning XSP2
Next I would suggest you start the videos again at the beginning and this time have a printed copy of the user
manual in front of you. Yes, it's huge and a big printout but I found it invaluable to have the written word on the
opposite side of me to the laptop playing my videos when I started the 'doing' side of the learning. Every now and
then when I want to do something new I refer to the printed manual rather than loading it onto my computer so the
printed version is always handy to have.
When the video starts a new section, watch it then pause and read the manual. This process of watching then
rereading the written word and then rewinding and watching the video again worked for me. Then take a break. Put it
aside until tomorrow.
Now the next day is where you start using the knowledge from the previous day. This will be much more familiar
to you now. If possible, have the videos playing nearby so you can refer to them and pause, rewind, and play as
many times as you feel comfortable. Have the manual beside you to read and see the diagrams and with each step do
the actual process on XSP2 step-by-slow-step. Now you are actually building your first website. Congratulations!
That’s it.
